Daddy O'Malley

As we finish up our final dicussions for Fences, some themes we talked about were responibilities and family. We kept talking about how Troy is a father what he expects out of this kids and that made me think. How am I gonna be like when  I am a father? When   I first think about the idea of having Brian Jr. running around I think ill spoil him to the fullest. I will have him play a lot of sports and become the major athlete that i have was. But besides that i feel like I will be a very relaxed and easy parent who doesn't have many rules as long as they get their work done and is not thrown into jail. I think i will protective like Troy is, but if my son presents me with the opportunity to sign a paper that will allow him to play college football, i will sign it without second thought because I will rake in the crash from the big signing bonus he will get when he makes it into the pros.

  1. don't force sports on your kids it will only make them rebel and do something you dislike just support whatever they want to do, i'm sure you'll do fine

  2. I feel the same way about how I will raise my own kids. I want them to love the things they do, which will hopefully be the some of the same things I do, and I hope they will excel in everything to their greatest capability. I don't think I will have many rules, because I know my parents do and it can be very frusterating. I think guidance is a better path to take, rather than forcing somehting on them. As long as they know how I feel about the situation I think they will make good decisions.

  3. Haha way to think of signing the paper as a reward and getting money, I like it. I really would be kind of the same dad by playing sports with my kids. also making them be respectful. And oviously if your kids went to jail you would have to step in.
