Baseball and Literature

It is only fitting to be reading text in College Lit that relates to baseball at the same time that my baseball season is going on. When Troy relates back to his marital problems to a runner trying to steal second base is pretty awesome. I feel like Troy is really onto something when he has all these ties to the beautiful game. I feel like I can relate to Troy and references, not with marital problems of course, but with more simple problems in life. Baseball is a sport that has its peaks and valleys, just like in life especially in Troy's too. Life presents itself to you sometimes where you really need to pull through, like in the bottom of the 9th, 2 out and a full count. How do you react? You can either backdown from the challenge, or rise above yourself and beat all odds in both the game of life and baseball.

  1. This is a great thought dude! I think relating life to a game that you really enjoy is good for you! Baseball is a great game and I think Troy loved it so much that he really couldn't let go so he relates everything back to it. Great thought and I agree with this fully. :)
